Buying our Lecterns - USA

Prices on this website include the 10% US tarrif on Australian products introduced by President Trump. You will not need to pay tariffs when your order arrives.

This is our website for our customers in the US. For other countries see the links on the right hand side.

How it works:
- You order and pay on our website (or we can email you a manual pdf invoice).
- We send your order (normally with DHL) (in some areas UPS delivers for DHL).
- It is pre-cleared with US customs while it is in transit.
- DHL deliver it to your door. Someone will need to be there to sign for it. DHL will not normally call before delivery.
- DHL charge the 10% tarrif cost to us (you do not pay it).


To order using credit card on this website, your credit card billing address must normally be in the USA (otherwise unfortunately the credit card system we use may decline your payment).

We are based in Sydney Australia- so why have a dedicated US website?- well, 64% of what we make goes to American churches.
Sending pulpits from Australia to the USA works very well. It is very efficient with pre clearing of airfreight with US customs. Amazingly it is faster for us to ship our church podiums to USA destinations, than to the far flung areas of Australia.

You are spending a lot of money so if you would like to us to refer you to churches in your state that have our pulpits, please let us know.

We send a lot of pulpits each week to the USA, so we have a great deal of experience with this. It is our responsibility to get your order to you in good condition, so in the unlikely event that something arrives broken, we will replace it. We know you talk to your friends, so we want your experience to be a good one. We are trying to help the cause of the church move forward so overall we want our products to help your ministry.

We are occasionally in the USA to exhibit at conferences such as the AG Assembly (this takes place every second year). We hope we may get a chance to meet you there!


1. Privacy
- We won't give your details to anyone. Ever.
- We don't keep your credit card details. Our friend Danny who did this website also works for large corporate customers and insisted on the highest level of security for us.

2. Payment
If you are paying by credit card
- We don't charge credit card fees.
- If your credit card doesn't work, this is probably because your bank is suspicious and has refused the payment. Please call your bank and ask them to allow it, then try again.

3. Timing
- We normally send out twice a week (Tuesdays (that's Monday in the USA) and Thursdays (that's Wednesday in the USA). We will let you know if there is any delay.
- We send by airfreight using Fedex or TNT. This is door to door. We try to make it as easy as possible (we know you are going to tell your friends about it!).
- We will e-mail tracking when your order is sent.
- Shipping times - Normal freight takes about 7-9 days. Express freight takes about 3-7 days. See the 'How to Buy' page on our website for more details.

4. Duties and taxes- USA
-Duties: President Trump introduced a 10% tariff on goods from Australia (despite Australia and the USA having a free trade agreement). To make buying for our US customers as easy as possible:
- The 10% tariff is included in the price. You do not need to pay it.
- DHL tarrif admin fee- this is included this in the freight price. You do not need to pay this.


- US state sales tax: It is very unlikely that you will be charged state sales tax. If US customs attempts to charge US state sales tax, you may need to mention your sales tax exemption number if you have one.

5. Terms and Conditions
- Payment due before goods are sent.
- Goods will become wholly the property of the purchaser when full payment has cleared.
- Every effort has been made to ensure our products are safe to use, however as our products are used in circumstances beyond our control, we cannot accept any liability for the product or consequences of the use of the product.

6. Packing
The box looks like a large corrugated card briefcase (see picture at the top of this page)
Our church lecterns pack flat. This makes them cheaper to send and avoids damage in transit (can you imagine how big the box would need to be if they didn't pack down- there would be so much air!). The box is surprisingly small. The Arc AND table fit into the box shown above. It is 41" long x 4 " wide x 21" high. The Arc church lecterns and tables are easy to assemble. A Korean customer once commented that the person assembling theirs couldn't read the instructions (they couldn't speak english), but had it assembled in 9 minutes.

Canada
We suggest you order from www.procson.com.au. The Australian dollar and Canadian dollar are normally very close in value.
If you prefer, you can still order from www.procson.com in USD.
Either way, your order will be sent from Australia.
You may need to pay Canadian GST (about 5%) to the Canadian government. You can normally claim this back from the government at tax time (as you would for other things you buy).

The owner (Stephen Procter) grew up in NZ and knows what it is like as a Kiwi trying to order from overseas, so we have a special website for NZ customers. Please order from www.procson.co.nz if you are paying by internet transfer or www.procson.com.au if you are paying by credit card (Hint- you get a better exchange rate if you order at www.procson.co.nz and pay by internet transfer).

UK/European Union
We have a small UK office.
If you are in the UK or Europe, you can order or our UK website www.procson.co.uk or from from our Australian website (www.procson.com.au),
If you order from www.procson.com.au, your order will be sent out from Australia. In this case you may be charged VAT or sales tax (Mehrwertsteuer etc). This is charged by your government. Unfortunately this is out of our control, so you will need to pay it.
If you order from www.procson.co.uk and you are in the UK, your order will be sent out from the UK, so you will not be charged VAT.
If you order from www.procson.co.uk and you are in the EU, your order will be sent out from the UK, so in 99% of cases, you will not be charged sales tax.

South American countries sometimes have high duties/ taxes. If you have questions about this please contact us.
Many South American churches order from www.procson.com or www.procson.com.au. We then send their pulpit to the USA (to a friend). They collect it and take it back by plane or car.

High duty countries- are you visiting Australia or the UK? or do you have a friend in the USA?
It works very well sending pulpits from Australia to the US. However if you are from say South America or Africa, duties can be high. Many customers flying home to South America, Africa or other destinations, take a pulpit with them. 99% of the time your government won't charge duties/ taxes at the airport. We know this from experience. We always travel with pulpits when flying overseas .
A pulpit in a box is about 12kg (26lbs).
